Hi, I’m Michaela — a Christian photographer, wife, and mom based in Wilmington, Delaware, who finds beauty in the ordinary and light in the little things.
Through my lens, I strive to capture images that feel warm, true, and timeless — reflecting not just your story, but the love and GRACE that fill it. Wilmington is home, and I primarily capture images among beautiful OUTDOOR spaceS AND GARDENS throughout Northern Delaware, while also drawing inspiration from the Delaware coast and beaches. During the summer months, I spend as much time by the shore as possible and never pass up the chance for a beach session — from golden-hour shoreline portraits to barefoot moments by the water. Wherever your story unfolds, I’d be honored to capture it with intention and care.

This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?
First of all, take a deep breath — you don’t need to worry about a thing! My sessions are relaxed, fun, and focused on capturing real connection, not perfect poses. I’ll guide you every step of the way — from choosing outfits and locations to helping you feel comfortable in front of the camera.
You don’t need to “know how to pose” — I’ll prompt gentle movements and interactions that bring out your natural expressions and genuine emotions. The best thing you can do is show up ready to enjoy the moment with your loved ones.
Come with an open heart, trust the process, and I promise we’ll create beautiful, timeless photos that feel completely you.
How far in advance should I book?
Weekends and seasonal minis fill quickly—booking 6–12 weeks in advance is recommended.
Do you offer mini sessions?
Yes! I offer mini sessions seasonally throughout the year. These are limited-availability sessions released for specific dates and themes (such as holiday or seasonal minis). Mini sessions are announced in advance and tend to book quickly, so be sure to follow along on social media or join my email list for first access.
Do you photograph events?
Yes! Upon request, I offer event coverage including weddings, baby showers, birthday parties, and other special celebrations. Event requests must be submitted as an inquiry below to check availability, as dates and coverage details are confirmed on a request-by-request basis.
When is the best time to schedule my photos?
For that dreamy, golden, glowy look, I shoot as close to golden hour as possible — typically within the first hour after sunrise or the last hour before sunset. This time of day gives your photos a soft, natural warmth that perfectly matches my editing style.
How long will my session last?
Most sessions last 45–60 minutes, depending on the type of shoot. Newborn and milestone sessions may take a bit longer to allow for breaks, feeding, or outfit changes — no rush, we’ll go at your pace.
Can you recommend any good locations?
I love shooting in natural, light-filled locations — cozy fields, golden beaches, charming greenhouses, or warm indoor spaces that fit your story. I’ll help you choose the perfect spot that matches your vision and feels comfortable for your family. Once you inquire, I’ll happily share my Location Guide with all my favorite spots to help you find the perfect backdrop for your session.
Are the travel expenses included in your packages?
Yes! Travel is included for sessions within 20 miles of Wilmington, Delaware. If your location is beyond that, I’m happy to travel — just inquire for a custom travel fee quote based on distance. During the summer months, I spend a lot of time at the Delaware beaches and love any opportunity for a beach session. I truly enjoy exploring new places and will always do my best to make travel easy and affordable for you!
What should I wear?
I always recommend wearing neutral, warm tones that photograph beautifully — think beige, cream, soft greens, tans, rust, or muted pastels. Avoid bright neons or busy patterns, and focus on textures and layers that add depth and warmth. I’ll send a style guide to help you choose coordinated (not matching) outfits that compliment your session’s vibe and location.
Do You help with posing?
Absolutely! I’ll gently guide you into natural poses and moments that feel authentic — lots of movement, laughter, and connection. My goal is to capture you as you are, not overly posed or stiff.
What Happens if the weather doesn't cooperate?
If the weather isn’t ideal (too windy, rainy, or dark), we’ll simply reschedule to the next available date. I want your photos to have the best possible lighting and atmosphere.
How long does it take to get our photos?
I aim to deliver your gallery within 2 weeks of your session date. For larger projects or during busier seasons, delivery may take up to 4 weeks. You’ll always receive an estimated turnaround time when you book, so you’ll know exactly when to expect your photos. Every image is edited with care in my warm, true-to-color style — it’s worth the wait!
